Who We Are

Volunteers are consistently needed to serve in the organizations that make up the public safety system. While it is understood that not everyone may be interested in performing the duties associated with emergency operations, volunteers are also needed for support and administrative roles as well.

Volunteer opportunities exist with the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), the fire department and the rescue squad.

Please call for more information. The County's EMS and Fire services are now staffed by nearly five hundred volunteers. There are six EMS and eight fire organizations throughout Campbell County. All fourteen agencies provide professional, twenty-four-hour service to the County's 50,000 citizens and cover five hundred and eleven square miles of land area.

Emergency services are provided on a 24-hour basis by a volunteer system. A strong volunteer contingent of individuals staffing 14 County agencies is the foundation of the County's public safety program. If you are interested in giving back to your community by volunteering please contact the Department of Public Safety for more information.
