Home Delivered Meals

The JABA Home Delivered Meals Program is provided to older adults (60+) who are unable to prepare their own well-balanced meals either on a temporary or long-term basis. JABA offers home delivered meal options through Mom's Meals and partnership with Meals on Wheels. Meals on Wheels offers chilled meals and hot meals in Charlottesville and Fluvanna. Mom's Meals is offered in Charlottesville CIty and Albermarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, and Nelson counties. All meals are delivered to seniors' homes via a delivery service provided by a contracted vendor.

Volunteers are available for optional friendly check-in calls and visits, and special program information, nutrition education, and health promotion materials are also provided to support individuals from home. A Registered Dietician is available for consultations.

Aging Services Coordinators will assist with applications and eligibility for home delivered meals. Participants are asked to contribute toward their meal on a voluntary basis, and Aging Services Coordinators will suggest a contribution, according to income. However, no one is denied a meal due to the inability to contribute.
