Who We Are
The Lake Area Bus (LAB) and Halifax Area Rural Transportation (HART) are a demand-response public bus system. The bus transports people of all ages. The buses are accessible, equipped with wheelchair lifts. Transportation will be provided for any purpose. You are picked up at your door and delivered to your destination. The cost is $1.50 per "pick-up" and children under the age of three ride free. Exact change is required as drivers cannot make change.
The LAB operates within the town limits of South Hill, LaCrosse, and Brodnax. HART transportation operates within the town limits of South Boston and Halifax.
