Who We Are
American House Kingsport offers a secure memory care unit and a person-centered approach to caring for those living with Alzheimer's or other dementia. Opportunity is provided for each resident to demonstrate independence based on his or her experience. Care Coordinators offer useful activities that are rewarding for the resident. Education is provided to families to create a better understanding of how to meet the needs of each resident.
If space is available, short-term respite care is provided to give caregivers a break and allow the caregiver to minimize some of the stress associated with caregiving.
