Volunteer opportunities at Fairfax County Parks and Recreation are varied and diverse and are open to seniors. Some of the volunteer duties are working at a golf course or RecCenter or perhaps a nature center, digging artifacts or interpreting history at the historic sites.
Use your talents, energy and time to connect. With your help, we can do more! Far more than just doing a good deed, volunteering is a way to develop skills, learn about career options, make professional contacts, socialize and have an impact on your community.
Maintains over 17,000 acres of parkland and a variety of facilities including neighborhood, community, district, and historic parks, nature centers, recreation centers, an ice skating rink, swimming pools, marinas, public golf and tennis courts, etc. Some facilities are accessible to persons with disabilities and some are convenient to public transportation.
Volunteers will have training based on assigned opportunity.
