Rural Rehabilitation

James City County Office of Housing has undertaken many major neighborhood revitalization projects funded by federal Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) along with a wide variety of other federal, state, and local matching funds.  These projects have provided housing rehabilitation, replacement housing construction, relocation assistance, urban homesteading, and infill housing development.  Public improvements have included new or reconstructed streets, drainage improvements, water lines, sewer lines, sidewalks, street lights, and neighborhood recreation areas.

The agency offers a variety of programs to meet the needs of homeowners in need of assistance with housing repair and revitalization.
