Who We Are

Northern Virginia Family Service offers a resource coordinator.  The resource coordinator offers the ability to link clients with resources to meet basic needs, including housing. Provides cultural orientation, life skills, ESL and other educational programs. Operates after-school and in-school programs for at risk children, mediation, interpretation counseling and crisis intervention. These services aim to promote family stability and self-sufficiency and are targeted to low-income families in Central Fairfax County. The multilingual staff provides information and links callers to other community services. Callers leave messages in their native languages, whereupon a staff member who speaks their language contacts them. This service helps limited-English residents overcome language and cultural barriers that prevent them from accessing services
