Volunteer Opportunities

Autism Society, Tidewater Virginia, has volunteer opportunities available.  Volunteers are welcome in the administrative office, Hispanic outreach, cleaning crew and volunteers for social and fund raising events.



Volunteers must sign a confidentiality agreement, volunteer commitment form and submit to a criminal background check (if over the age of 18 years of age) prior to starting.



Another opportunity for volunteers is Parent Partners.  Volunteers help assist families in remote areas.  Parent Partners assist families in need who may not be able to travel to the office in Virginia Beach to seek assistance. The volunteers are also able to connect families with local services in their communities.  The Autism Society will provide Parent Partners with training, supports and resources to help support both the volunteer and the families are they assisting.   Contact Angel Barnhill, Resource Director, for more information.
