Citizens Police Academy

Bedford County Sheriff's office offers a Citizens Police Academy.  The Citizens Academy is an educational opportunity designed for the citizens of Bedford County.  It is a 12 week course (one night each week) that introduces topics like the mission and values of the Sheriff's office, crime prevention, community relations, internet crimes against children, safe surfin foundation and many other interesting topics.

The Academy affords you the opportunity to become involved and assist the Sheriff's office by volunteering for traffic control and parking vehicles and collecting statistical data for traffic studies.
