Who We Are

Provides information on the characteristics and needs of the elderly population. Identifies gaps in services to older adults and their family caregivers and measures efficiency, effectiveness and quality of existing services. Provides technical assistance in client and service assessments, databases, and reports.

Drafts policy; provides information and support to Fairfax Area Commission on Aging, Board of Supervisor's Committee on Aging, and VDA staff contact for mandates and reports. Reviews/edits RFPs, serves on SACs, and performs program monitoring of contractual services; applies for grants and corporate funding; designs, conducts, and analyzes surveys; tracks long-term care legislation; develops division budget submissions; identifies, executes and evaluates pilot projects; staffs special projects and events.
