Area Agency on Aging, Marion Office

District Three Governmental Cooperative is the Agency on Aging and Rural Public Transit provider for the Third Planning District (Bland, Carroll, Grayson, Smyth, Washington, Wythe Counties,  and cities of Bristol and Galax).

We are dedicated to improving the quality of life for our citizens, especially those who are elderly and those who need assistance with transportation. While some of our services are available to all citizens, we focus on serving those people who need us most. Our services are designed to help our citizens to live independently and productively as long as possible. We promote self-sufficiency and family care-giving.

It is a consortium of local governments providing services with financial support from federal, state and local governments, individuals and local contributors.

District Three Governmental Cooperative operates also as District Three Senior Services and District Three Public Transit.
