Who We Are

This service can provide information on continuing care retirement communities (CCRC) in Virginia. Virginia Health Information (VHI) provides a list of long term care facilities and Continuing Care Retirement Communities, as well as a Long Term Care Guide and information about long term care insurance.

A continuing care community can provide the ultimate security of lifetime care, complete health care for as long as it is needed and allow residents to remain in familiar surroundings free of the threat of a move required by failing health. The goal of a CCRC is to provide lifelong residential retirement solution with the inclusion of health and medical care throughout the remainder of the resident's life. There are generally 3 types of CCRC contracts. The American Association of Homes & Services for the Aging can provide more information on the types of contracts. Carefully review all contract terms with an attorney, a financial advisor and someone who has an understanding of your needs.
