Who We Are
Being an Auxilian at Lynchburg General Hospital means volunteering your time to provide some very special services to patients in our hospital--calming nervous family members waiting for emergency treatment for a loved one or easing the anxiety of a patient waiting to be admitted--delivering mail to offices and patients throughout the building or greeting hospital visitors It can also mean assisting outside the walls of the facility--at the Jamerson Y or any one of their many medical services located throughout Central Virginia.
Being a Lynchburg General Auxilian means that you are an active part of a thriving, busy healthcare organization. You may choose to work directly with patients and their families or you may be just as busy and effective behind the scenes.
A commitment of your time, usually three to four hours per week, is requested.
Office Hours Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM, Volunteer Opportunities Monday - Sunday 8AM-9PM.
