Crime Prevention, TRIAD for Seniors

Fauquier County Sheriff's office participates in TRIAD by implementing activities designed to reduce the level of criminal victimization as it impacts senior citizens.

Triad for Seniors is a partnership among the Fauquier County Sheriff's Office, Warrenton Town Police, AARP, and the retired leadership in the community. The primary goals are to reduce the criminal victimization of older citizens of the community and to enhance the delivery of law enforcement services to them. Triad assesses the needs of the senior population and promotes educational materials and information to seniors in order to educate, and thereby protect against such crimes as telemarketing fraud; scams; home security; and elder abuse. S.A.L.T .Council (Seniors and Lawmen Together) govern the Triad.
