Volunteering, Habitat for Humanity

Richmond and Westmoreland Counties Habitat For Humanity is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a Christian ministry working throughout the world to provide housing for needy and deserving people. Houses are built using a combination of donated and purchased materials and labor.



Hands on Helpers Volunteers at the build sites are needed for carpentry, gardening, cleaner uppers, food providers, tool lenders/purchasers and site selection assistance.



Behind the scenes tasks for volunteers include fundraising, office help (mailing, etc.), committee members (fundraising, public relations, church relations, family selection and nurture, nominations) and outreach volunteers.
