Who We Are
Volunteer opportunities are available at 4 different locations in Fairfax County during daytime, evening and weekend hours. Minimum age is 16 to volunteer for this program.
- For the Education and Community Development Program volunteers are used to mentor, tutor, homework help, youth computer time, reading group, exercise program and more.
- For Services for Single Adults and Families volunteers are used to mentor and drive (minimum age 21).
- For Hypothermia Program volunteers are used as life skills leaders.
- For Main Office work volunteers are used to man the front desk, work in the pantry, van maintenance, administrative duties and more.
- Other Opportunities include youth and event volunteers.
To become a volunteer attend an orientation session. Here you will fill out the application, background check, meet and talk with the Volunteer Manager and start the placement process. All orientations are held at our main office: 10640 Page Ave, Suite #300, Fairfax. The Orientation Sign Up form is available on the website.
