Construction and ReStore Volunteer Opportunities

Habitat for Humanity of Washington D.C. and  Northern Virginia offers several roles to get involved in.

• As a Construction Worker
• Volunteers participate in construction on Wednesdays and Saturdays.  No construction experience is necessary.  A site supervisor is on the construction site and will get you started, answer any questions, and provide support throughout the day.
• All volunteers must complete the Volunteer Waiver form.  Volunteers 16 and 18 and under must have Parent/Guardian signature on the waiver form.  For insurance reasons, no one under the age of 16 is permitted to work at a Habitat construction site.

• As a Volunteer at ReStore
• Habiltat for Humanity of Norther Virginia has two ReStores--one in Chantilly and the other in Alexandria.  Volunteers work with the ReStore staff collecting and receiving donated materials, pricing and stocking items on the store floor, cleaning and organizing the store, and assisting customers in the store.

• As a Volunteer for Committees and Special Events
• Volunteers are needed as administrative support, photographers, and community ambassadors.
