Adult Day Care Center

Edwards Adult Day Center wants to enhance the lives of seniors and adults with disabilities and their caregivers through adult day services, activities, education, and support. The program provides daytime assistance, supervision, and support for adults who are functionally limited due to accident, illness, or birth defect. The staff gives help and support to caregivers needing help with their caregiving responsibilities. Participants receive companionship in a safe environment and caregivers benefit as they are able to continue to work, attend to other responsibilities, or have some personal time.  Capacity is 70.

A discounted fee is available to an individual who is eligible for enrollment but financially needy, based on a sliding scale.

Participants with dementia/ Alzheimer's are also welcome. Medicaid approves some participants.

Services include transportation, recreational and education activities, social events, exercise, crafts, nutritional noon meals and snacks, administration of prescription drugs and medications, intergenerational activities, and assistance with activities of daily living (ADL) (feeding, ambulation, and toileting). Individuals with a diagnosis of dementia, or incontinence may be eligible.
