Who We Are
Crater Community Hospice offers volunteer opportunities. Volunteers, being a part of the Hospice Team, provide companionship and support to the patient and his or her family, use good communication skills, listen effectively and speak comfortably about issues of death and dying. Volunteers also help by typing, clerical work, answering telephones, fundraising, serving on advisory committees, serving in the Thrift Shop, and becoming part of the speakers bureau. Volunteers usually give three hours a week with flexible schedules to meet the needs of the hospice family and the volunteer. Volunteer training is provided on site. Please call Teresa Brockwell, Volunteer Coordinator, for training dates.
Veterans can become part of the Veteran-to-Veteran Volunteer Program. Visit Veterans Who Volunteer.
