Resources for Older Adults

Chesterfield County Aging & DisabilityServices, Senior Advocate, was created to help ensure that the older citizens of Chesterfield County have opportunities to live independent, active and healthy lives. Serves residents of Chesterfield County ages 60 and older, their family members and caregivers by providing information and referral, and promoting and coordinating services for older adults who want to remain active and independent, and be vital contributors to their communities through volunteer and employment opportunities.

Provide information and referrals to services and resources relating to issues of aging, care giving, and physical or sensory disabilities.  Assistance is available to caregivers, who may be older and need assistance.  Give referrals to volunteer and employment opportunities. Many volunteer opportunities are available with the office.

Promotes and coordinates services for older adults and their caregivers through regular meetings with County Human Services departments, not-for-profit organizations and private businesses. The office works in conjunction with Chesterfield TRIAD, Chesterfield Partnership for Successful Aging and Chesterfield Council on Aging.
