Med-Ride

The Med-Ride Program uses available volunteers to transport clients in the New River Valley to medical appointments. This service is offered to adults who have no transportation or cannot afford public transportation. The program operates on a sliding scale, taking into consideration both income and expenses. Volunteers are needed and those who have a couple of hours a week to help can call (888) 633-7433 or email Med-Ride at medride@nrvss.org

There is a minimum fee of $5.00 per trip.
 

Med-Ride is funded by the Carilion Foundation, area United Ways (which includes the counties of Floyd, Montgomery, Pulaski, and Giles and the city of Radford), the Trollinger Trust Fund, the Community Foundation, and the C.E. Richardson Foundation.  All donations are appreciated.
