Who We Are

Schaffer Construction - Designs for Life is a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) specializing in aging in place modifications for seniors and special needs remodeling services for people with disabilities.

Schaffer Construction offers home safety and access assessments for the kitchen, bath, entry ways, stairs, and flooring.  Modifications include additional lighting, grab bars, transfer aids, ramps, roll-in showers, bath lifts, widening doorways, decreasing thresholds and more. 

They are an authorized Harmar dealer providing sales, installation, and service of the Pinnacle stair lift, the Highlander vertical platform lift (platform wheel chair lifts), and AquaJoy bath lifts. The company installs and services what they sell.

Schaffer Construction Designs for Life is listed as a registered builder with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for the Specially Adaptive Housing (SAH) {2101(a)} Grant program.  SAH offers grants to certain Service members and Veterans with severe service-connected disabilities.
