Who We Are
The Galax Police Department has on staff 3 officers who have been certified as crime prevention specialist by the State of Virginia. The mission of the Crime Prevention Unit is to work in partnership with the citizens of Galax to promote crime prevention through teamwork, creative problem solving, education and training.
Officers are available to offer services to the community that addresses the issues of crime affecting our community and how to reduce your chances of becoming a victim of crime.
The Triad partnership protects the elderly population. Triad develops, expands and implements effective crime prevention and safety programs for the senior citizens of Galax.
