Who We Are
Volunteers provided mentoring services to youth ages 6-13 years old. Volunteers are professionally screened and offer one-on-one relationships to provide guidance and friendship to a child living in an "at-risk" environment. The child and volunteer meet approximately 2-4 hours each week in the community and participate in activities they both enjoy.
To volunteer, you must be 19 years of age; Be open to being matched with any same-gender child in need; Live or work within a 30 minute drive of a child waiting for a mentor; Be able to commit to a 1 year relationship, meeting at least 2 times a month; Own a car and have a valid driver license and proof of insurance.
All volunteers must pass a series of background screening to include Child Protective Services, Department of Motor Vehicles, Criminal History report and three reference checks. Please call the office for more information and complete and submit the form on the website.
