Seniors Safe at Home, Rehab Program

Albemarle Housing Improvement Program's (AHIP) "Seniors Safe at Home" helps senior citizens make critical repairs to their homes.

The Charlottesville Area Association of Realtors, Blue Ridge Home Builders Association and Albemarle Housing Improvement Program (AHIP) have joined forces to help local senior citizens stay safe, warm and dry. Together raising funds, building awareness, and making repairs.  Since the partnership, AHIP has been able to support 82% more emergency repair projects for seniors.

Seniors in need call AHIP to request assistance, and often times have to wait for help. Currently, AHIP has over 200 senior households on its Emergency Repair waiting list and more on its Housing Rehab waiting list. Seniors Safe at Home will raise funds to allow AHIP to help senior citizens now who might otherwise have to wait for help.
