Virginia Association of Housing Counselors (VAHC) is a group of housing counselors or those in related fields who have joined together for the purpose of strengthening housing counseling as a profession and assuring that all low and moderate-income families and individuals are offered the opportunity to live in safe, decent and affordable housing.
VACH is operated 100 percent by volunteers. Volunteers assist homeowners, homebuyers, and renters with all housing-related problems.
Goals and objectives:
- To serve as an information and communication mentor for members and member agencies;
- To act as a mechanism by which individuals and agencies can be certified in the area of housing counseling;
- To enhance, promote and implement programs related to the housing needs of the general public.
