Who We Are
Morningside in the West End offers a special memory impairment neighborhood called "Bridge to Rediscovery" that provides care for individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, and other cognitive impairments. The capacity is 105 residents for assisted living and memory care residents.
Bridge to Rediscovery is an innovative approach that helps individuals with dementia rediscover the joy in everyday life. Bridge to Rediscovery is a special place within each Five Star Senior Living memory care community, designed to meet the needs of residents with Alzheimer’s and other forms of memory impairment.
The activities and philosophy of the Bridge to Rediscovery program were inspired by the Montessori-style approach to education. In the Montessori tradition, Bridge to Re-discovery focuses on the individual and helps residents learn through meaningful, hands-on activities. Residents understand that they only need to be the best they can be, without having to compete for success.
