Who We Are

Peninsula Agency on Aging (PAA) offers transportation programs. PAA provides non-emergency medical transportation for older adults, aged 60 and older, including seniors with disabilities. Transportation is provided to doctor appointments, dental appointments, mental health appointments, dialysis, physical therapy, and more.  Transportation is available to adult daycare centers and PAA-sponsored activities. Rides are qualified based on the customer’s age and other criteria.

Newport News, Hampton, Poquoson, or York County area, call (757) 873-0541. Office hours are Mon- Fri, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.

Williamsburg and James City County area RIDES Program, call (757) 345-6166.  Office hours are Mon- Fri, 8:00 am - 3:00 pm

Volunteer drivers are needed.

Other Eligibility Criteria
Serves older adults age 60 and older and seniors with disabilities. Must not be eligible for Medicaid transportation, be unable to access public transit, and be unable to afford private transportation.
