Who We Are
The Virginia Passenger Rail Authority (VPRA) is responsible for the administrative and fiduciary management of Virginia’s state-supported passenger rail services. These services include the current eight daily roundtrip Amtrak Northeast Regional services, originating in Roanoke, Norfolk, Newport News, and Richmond. VPRA also funds the Virginia Railway Express (VRE).
